As a painter who is inspired by the contours and relationships of landscape, most often in Maine, I enjoy testing the balance of reality and abstraction. My acrylic paintings are often mistaken for oil because of their softness and tonal depth. I tend to paint the world the way I sense it, more than the way I see it. On these pages I share my own particular feeling for a world whose beauty amazes me every day I live on Earth.
"We love Mary's painting and have it placed in a prominent spot where I can see it when I am working.
It is an excellent image rendered exceptionally well."
Wayne L., Toronto and Tampa FL
"Mary's paintings have been a source of pure delight for us. We wake to the sight of her captivating paintings and they inspire us to dwell on pleasant places as we move on to our busy days."
