As the normally hectic pace of life slows, a new process emerges.
I walk daily the .75 mi. to my studio, counting steps. I measure paper, pour water, lay out paint.
I process change - using paint originally intended for classes, on various papers I have squirrelled away over the years - a form of pantry cooking done with paint.
It started as a way to pay the rent for another month during quarantine. Work I would never become attached to. It became a daily practice, a meditation. It emerges, a series of connected thoughts, together a treatise on the impermanence - something much too important to become attached to - like life itself.
